The organisers of STAUB XS (a side-project of STAUB — a well-known Berlin techno party) asked me to come up with bright, lively visuals for a family disco at ://about blank club with the theme “Neon Ocean.”
The client wanted a design that would work both in an A3 poster format, and also look eye-catching on social media at smaller scale. They also requested prominent placement of the existing STAUB XS logo.
I created a playful underwater world that combined child-friendly character illustration with some more sophisticated, sometimes psychedelic, textures. In regards to typography, I channeled the energy of a contemporary rave flyer. Additionally, I incorporated the STAUB XS logo as the face of the central pufferfish character.
