My entry for the 16th edition of the Tapirulan Illustrators Contest for this year. The theme was "utopia."
Technique: this is made using some hand drawn elements that have been scanned and integrated with digitally drawn sections.
Medium: it includes collage, plus drawing with pencil and pastel
Accompanying text: "I think we imagine a “utopia” as a space of limitless possibilities. I populated my utopia with quirky, fantastical characters who we might imagine are able to change form and function whenever they like. It’s also a place that has endless festivities, games and treats for everyone. This is just a glimpse of an entire land. I imagine that if you walk or fly past the borders of the frame, the space might just continue to roll out under your feet!"
